Need help with settings for quadcopter

I've just built a quad but am having trouble with the settings.

Currently the quad can fly but is extremely unstable. As I have no experience with Eagetree vector (previous FC was Naza lite) and settings for my previous quad were copied from another friend's similar model, I have no idea how to start adjusting the settings properly (I can find my way around the menu but do not know what to adjust).

Would anyone be able to help point me in the right direction? Also, I'm not sure if the problem lies with the settings only or whether there is any problem with the component selection as well... appreciate any help as im currently at a loss here...

The specs of the quad are as follows:

Frame: Diatone whitesheep (TBS Discovery clone)
    FC: Eagletree vector
    Motors: Tiger motor 2216 800kv
    ESC: Hobbywing 40A X Rotor
    Prop: Gemfan 1045
    Battery: 4S 4600mAh 30C Revolectrix blend435 black
The quad has FPV gear onboard (camera, transmitter). Everything is working, it's just that the quad flies in a very unstable manner.

    TIA

Can you give more details about the problems you are having with your quad, besides just being unstable? Vector has many settings, I was also stumped when i first set it up but managed to get it going.
    Beastx installed and flying ...
