Phantom 2 vision with DX6i

Hi guys. It's been a while since I left this hobby so forgive the noob question. I just got a phantom 2, but the stock RC has a throttle input which springs back (which kind of irritates me).

I'm thunking of getting and connecting the phantom to a DX6, but I'm wondering if there's going to be any abnormality to the way the throttle input is in the DX6.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't see why not. People used futaba controllers with the phantoms before. A dx6i will be ok except it uses a normal channel to channel connection instead of sbus.

Ok that sounds complicated. I can fly these things, but I'm not really into the modding realm. I'm just looking at making the throttle stick function as it would on a normal Heli without too much of a mod (other than a receiver swap, and maybe a profile setup on the DX6).
