    "Starwars X-wing fighter" style quad

Just finished my new build quad.

I liked the new Skyrig 450 frame and thought if I built it backwards it could be modded to look a bit like the X-wing fighter from star wars.

1st test flight was good, everything works

Now for more flights to fine tune the Naza gain settings.

Here's a side view so that you can better see how I've fitted the front light rods.

I used a hollow carbon fibre rod and ran the LED wires all the way through and glued the blue LED in the end.

The two rods are zip-tied to the short landing feet at the ends of the quad arms.

the battery on top and the battery wires running thru the nose sorta ruin the look.. maybe squeeze it inside and shove the wires in hehe... or fabricate an x-wing cover!

Yeah, I know what you mean.

It was a fun project to try

Are you recycling parts or do u have like 10 DJI naza+gps hidden away in your closet or something.

I have a very strict wife who only allows me to have 2 quads/multi-rotors at any one time

She is very understanding of my hobby but it does ensure that our entire house does not become one big multi-rotor warehouse

If I want to build a new project, which is quite often, as I enjoy trying new designs, I either sell on the whole craft as an ARF to help fund the new build or recycle the main parts and sell on the frame only. It often depends on what I have at the time and what idea I want to try next In this case, I sold on the frame with motors, props & ESC and used the Naza & GPS on the F330 build.

I still have the blue "laser" light rods as I'm thinking of using them on another project
