All MWC board can fly in both gyro and accel mode, meaning you can do loop n roll in rate mode (Gyro) and self-levelling (Stable) mode.

It will work out of the box in std PID setting for most cases, but a custom tune will be better. Can be easily tuned using a FTDI modem from Sparkfun.

Thanks a lot Silver! This is very informative for a noob in multirotor like me.

Here is a video footage of a hard mounted camera onboard, with absolutely no additional stabilzation or gimbalise mounting for the camera.

See how smooth and stable the video is....

Is the Skyhobbies $135 MWC ready for adding on position-holding by GPS/Mag/Baro?

If yes, may I know what are the components that are needed?

At the moment, there are various MWC board available, you may choose to add on the baro, and mag on your own, alternatively you can buy another board which include all 4 sensors onboard, the gyro, accel, baro and mag at a slightly higher price.

MWC is highly expandable to individual need. GPS is available at this stage to developer only, if you are into coding, i can provide you the gps sketch, but have not been fully release to end users.

                Visit www.multiwii.com for more info.

                  Good news !

GPS-MWC board will be arriving is SG in about a month's time, featuring super stable flight with full PID control and not just "GAIN" adjustments. And your craft will be able to respond well in different wind conditions, not just in Hovering mode. This new board also incorporates magnetic compass heading and barometric sensor.

It is able to fly both in rate and stable modes, meaning it can loop and roll in rate , and self-stabilize in stable mode, with the flick of a Ch5 switch. All flight parameters configurable thru bluetooth wirelessly using your Iphone and Androit based phone (optional ), not just thru USB cables to your laptop.Battery power level and camera gimble controls (pitch&roll) are included as std features.

Firmware will be slightly different from the main MWC, developed locally, but still using and supporting their GUI (modified).

Gps/compass mode will feature the following:
                  1) Position hold at any location.
                  2) Home flying
                  3) Easy flying (no need to know the craft's orientation, just pull back elev stick and it will come back towards you.
                  4) Circling mode (same as apm)
                  5) Waypoint flying (under testing now)

Pre-ordering will commence soon, contact your local hobby shops and fellow flyer friends at the fields. If min pre-ordering exceeds 30 sets, the price will not exceed Sgd 320.00 per set.

silver, thats a pre-release right? by the way u tried the inflight calibrate? Been testing the headfree and it looks since dev version seems to be fun but want to isolate all the drift first

I probably go with the final launch of the V2.0

If not too many issues to resolve individually, because i have customers coming back to me when he have not even resolve their inherent vibrations problems on their set. And they start tweaking the PID...

New features looks promising, hopfully baro is as good as a NXXA

                            Gps-mwc

                            $320 ah?
I'll be checking this forum for updates as to when its ready to fly (without having to worry about bugs). Pre-order special pricing?
How does it compare with "Rabbit" flight controller?

                              For Spektrum Users out there,

All versions of MultiWii board, whether Promini or Mega processor based, supports Spektrum satellite receiver input, this will saves you alot of extra wiring/cables from your usual receiver to the MWC board.

                              Example:

                              1) Aileron ch : not connected
                              2) Elevator ch : not connected
                              3) Throttle ch : not connected
                              4) Rudder ch : not connected
                              5) Flight mode : not connected

Satellite receiver output ---> Mwc input.

Just connect the Spektrum satellite receiver unit (less the main receiver unit) directly to the MWC flight control board, and all channels will be available thru that single line. (This line is not the usual PPM type, but rather Spektrum's own comm protocol, both 1024 & 2048 and MWC is able to decipher them).

Purpose is to make your craft neat, light and roomy, no more spaghetti inside, haha.
