    3. you use Gopro for fun only are you are expecting the video/photo to be profesional quality
    4. do you need the gopro to be with camera stabilisation or just a fix to the frame and shoot
    5. maybe missed out: you new to multirotor or new to RC

Maybe more but this is a good start.
    1) prefers DIY so can learn more n push limits

    2) prefers Tuning

    3) fun n maybe work too? Who knows. N I always try to shoot in full HD. GO YouTube n look a syc77t

    4) prefer with n without amera stabilization. Both as it's use

    5) newbie all the way. Lol.

Nice... since you are going to have your hands dirty.. here you can try:

              MultiWii:
Short cut to ask Silver to supply you the needed items

APM has many other supplis that you can go with.

and as mentioned ealier... prepared to read and read..

              Search and check out diydrones.

and go to those Multirtor meet which is a good way to actually see how they make it

I am no expert and still fairly new. DT was one of the first few here and he is one of the reason I started the multirotor. But in my opinion APM is not a good starting point for everyone. If you love to solder play with codes and test beta codes then this is the one for you but if you want to develop skills and fly more then this is not the one. Simulator will be better (tho APM has HILL mode with simulator support)

All have pros and CONs like DT say try to read on forums and join the meets

                Sample

Gaui, 344 ok to learn hover and orientatio but sometimes it decide to move on its own and drift till you loose it. A bit on expensive end

Fyetech FY91 (not the navigation version) "ok" a bit but calibration and gain tuning a bit weird. Sometimes it work sometimes frustrating. But i think they have new firmware I cant comment. I helped one of the guys here and he was able to hover but with a few crash.

APM, have a lot of feature good alt hold (with custom firmware ESC) specially when you get PID right. It is not the same PID across the board even if you have same lenght and they keep changing the PID, PIPI PIDT1 so unless you are good with it. They change code so fast sometimes you hit a bug that will cause problem on quad and hardware too then tend to EoL the board

MultiWii (havent tried this but planning to order soon) seems to be good for starters...just play around with PID and you can learn hover as well as orientation (if you get it just nice). The code doesnt change fast and you can trash it till you need another board (quite cheap)

Naza, i think good for starters you can almost (or definitely) hover after assembling quad (assuming you did everything right) but expensive and some ESC dont work well

WK-M lets not talk about it, its expensive for starters...i like mine

MK (dont have one) it is one of the stable platform (if you know what you are doing) but you must be good in assembling it or spend more get it assembled (not advisable)

Ask Amas and the jurong flyers they have nice quad too...awesome guys to learn a lot of things.

Wow, thanks for the awesome feedback,

i myself have done even further research and i really like the F450 and F330 frames and i think the Naza is a good start for a beginner.

What i am still thinking about is wether to buy the F450/F330 RTF or buy the frame then buy all the components, which would be cheaper and is it not so hard to assemble?

                  Thanks!

Or would you recommend a better frame for carrying a camera and then myself attaching the NAZA to it?

                      still blur..

                      i take it APM,MultiWi r diff brands/modes of quads

                      jurong flyers?
                      interesting.
the last thread i read about JW flyers were dated like 1 yr again.
btw, i live in Jurong area too.

haha those are some of the flight control boards I have used or seen.

                        APM
multiwii (this is just a one of many forms of multiwii)

Others that I havent mentioned hoverfly, openpilot, kk board, free flight and a lot more.

@LOL, 450 frame imho is good maybe "just maybe" good enough to put gopro like others did but I am yet to maiden my f450 with gopro on it. Maybe tomorrow...

Hi Truck, can I ask how did you mount your camera on the F450?
I've tried to fit a digital camera on my F450 but the video is unusable due to vibration.

Or you can contact me, i provide modified firmware for MultiWii of all various version of the MWC board available, including tip on tuning the PID settings.

It is not difficult to set up MWC or APM, contact me and i will be happy to show you how, plus a demo test flight. You will be amazed with the stability and agility of MWC.

vuzix_sg, you already forgot I posted on your thread 1st test flight Anyway, I am yet to maiden with the camera on board so I cant comment yet. But I know hard mounting it to one of the ears (too bad you put yours sideways) works too. But blades must be balanced and motors not too powerful for frame otherwise it will flex and cause vibration.
