Because it is so fast, the setup,maintenance and of course the .. in this case, the driver's skill and experience all plays critical part in order to do well in a race.
In racing,driving standards between drivers are not subjective like flying. It all boils down to the race day.( Your building and driving skills )

A handful of the people who flys heli now are ex 1/8 on road racers.F1 of RC cars are expensive.It is not difficult to spent a prize of a Vibe 50 every 2 months.
