    im half way with the building . now stuck at the main frame installation.

    what took me so long ? well.. i mixed up my main rotor installation! argh! spent 2 weeks to figure out what I fixed wrongly

      Ok...the rotor assembly was a little complicated. But trust me once u assembled it and crash it, everything can be dismantled and re do

        Rotor head!

        Guys .. can someone help me out with the rotor head ? i think and feel that something's not right even after looking at it so many times

          alamin, what kinda help u need? I presume u talking about the TREX? which model? CDE or HDE? best is u can post pictures of what u talking about. maybe pics of your state of completion

            Thanks for bringing it up. I think the confusion has taken over me cause im quite blur myself what im posting.

            The trex isthe Trex XL non CCPM version.

            Pics will be posted later as the camera is with my sis now..

              manual download

              alamin,

              if u're talking about the HDE, do u have the manual. Just in case u may want to have a look at this:

              I'd suggest that u go slow on the building and setting up.
              Double check and triple check if not sure.
              Some of the parts are quiet small and certain measurements are hardly discernable, ie. parts like the washout needs to be orientated properly during assembly. A vernier caliper would be of great help, a ruler will do as well. Make sure u have the parts assembled proeprly b4 putting on the R48 aka Locktite.

              Maybe u want to consider building it without putting on the R48 first. Have an overall picture of what's it suppose to be, check again and then back out the areas that u suppose to put the R48, then apply. Remember to wait at least a few hours, best 24-48 hrs for it to cure completely.

              Remember that patience goes a long way. Good assembly of the TREX is half the battle won.

                  T-REx Boom

                  I was just wondering whats the difference btw a stock T-Rex boom that chrome default one and the GOLD color boom. Cos i have the gold boom. IS it just for the colour or is there in any difference in weight or etc?

                    no diff Also you will realise that there is an upgrade for carbon boom. Please stick to the metal one and do not get the carbon one. 1 carbon boom can buy you 4 normal ones. In a hard crash, everything goes

                        Gold color one is the older design. If your gold color do not have "Align RC" wording, then it is even older or suspected "Local" version (That is mend for local taiwan market...not export).

                        The different:
                        If your TRex is HDE/CDE (Which is yours is CDE if I'm not wrong), then u have to drill hole bigger abit. The hold is for the tail case latch. XL tail case latch is bigger than the older v2 or below generation tail boom.

                            OK.

                            Finally rex is finished only left with electronics.

                            thanks Fit for helping to fix it up.

                            for the servos, i've tried Se-06 RCFlipmaster on the ailerons but its too weak. seems that Im gonna need hs-55.

                            are there any alternative servos ?for the body?


                            for tail servo, I'll be using hs-81

                              The carbon is the same length as the black one.

                              Juz to add on what genexis have said, carbon is expensive. If u screw too tight the rod will crack
