Eh.. any suggestion to slim down the old thick fly bars? Strangely, I have got 3 of them that don't even fit into the original bearings that came with my kit...

Normally the flybar should be able to fit inside the old flybar linkage but it is a bit bigger diameter to the rectangular cage (like those HDE/CDE).
This is what I do:
Connect flybar to drill. Use small portion (But not too small) sand paper to wrap around the flybar. Spin the drill (Slow spin first) and then move the sand paper forward and backward.
Note the sand paper might get hot after a while. Replace sand paper or wait till it cool down.
Using this method, it can sand down the diameter pretty fast and evenly distributed. Remember to do on the other side of the flybar also.

yes I did this to three of my flybars and it works great ..or as an alternative you can go to NTC and get a set of long conector rods ( they come in a pack) the longest ( *2) is about 1 ' longer then the stock but gives and nice stable hover as a result ....and is 2mm exact so it will fit into the origional/ new flybar arm.Originally posted by Super-HornetNormally the flybar should be able to fit inside the old flybar linkage but it is a bit bigger diameter to the rectangular cage (like those HDE/CDE).
