Hello Fellow Hobbyists,

Thanks for your support and interest in the Trex Photo Contest 2014. I hope you enjoyed the fun. This is the first contest which Zenm Tech orgainised, but it certainly will not be the last. In fact, we are already planning for the next contest. Many ideas flying around, LOL. Please share with us your ideas, if any.

Although it was named as a contest, but it was really meant to be a fun game. It is certainly not a professional contest. Rule No 8 stated “Just be creative, entertaining, and have fun”. The key words of this contest are all in this rule. Someone protested rather strongly that members only voted for friends and he felt it was unfair to him. He claimed people like himself who have no friend will lose out. I tried to calm him down, but all my effort went down the drain. The ill feeling was so unbelievably strong that absolutely nothing can be done to calm it down, even after days. He just won't let it go. This is simply outrageous. He failed to understand the following facts:

1. This is just a fun game, not a professional contest.

2. The judges are the public forum members, not a selected panel. Yes, it would have been unfair if there are only a few selected judges and one or more of them are friends of certain contestants.

3. There is no rule stated members cannot vote a friend. Anyway, it would be silly to set such a rule. We can never define “friend” in rules. What’s wrong with voting a friend? You can vote a friend even in a general election. LOL. In RC, we need friends.

4. If you have no friend since you joined the forum in 2005, I think it is time to do a little bit of self-reflection. Isn’t it?

5. If you make a simple agreement not to post on a certain thread, you can’t do it and give a lame excuse. This is really very bad of you. Completely unacceptable.

6. On a lighter note, you are the one who broke the contest rule by not having fun (see rule no 8).


Oh yes, I found my “long lost” Trex 700E F3C in this contest. I miss it. LOL.

I too had thought of that but find it too troublesome,
after all those that won got more networking supports than actual photos competitions.

After seeing the following picture, the 2nd winner (turemini) came to collect his prize today. Anyway, I don't think he can fly this little monster. He just can't hover. LOL. As of now, the 3rd winner is still MIA.

LOL, don't worry, your Trex 150 is still with me.......I mean in pieces (see picture above). I was trying to do piro-flip in the showroom without success after many attempts. Don't you worry about spares, we have nothing but spares.
