R50 sized with 30

Is it possible to upgrade a R30 to a R50 and still using a OS37?
Since Hirobo Secadu 30 is the same sized as the 50 sized counterpart, the mechanics of a R30 with a R50 boom and mechanics are some what the same right?
A longer boom is supposedly to give a better tail control right? Was thinking of upgrading to R50 specs and retaining the R30 engine?
Just wanna do some cheeky mods because not going into 50 sized until i 'piang' my OS37....

technically u can....extend boom and change belt....
but dun change to 600mm blades coz OS37 won't be able to handle 600mm blades....at least for the gear ratio of the Sceadu Evo30....can fly, but no power....put unnecessary stress to the engine only...

I understand what you mean. And thanks a lot for helping out with that twitchy rappy. It's A LOT more better after some tuning that day with you and more practice with the 'right aileron drifting' on take off.... Sure will practise more.
Broke my tail slider due to too much tail strikes(headwind gust?) & skids. That day with you, i broke my tail support... Nothing major, will get it fixed by next week for more practices.....

Was thinking of switching to R50 specs w/o the 600mm blades to try out and see the configuration(more stablity?). It'll be cute also.... Haha....

Your setup was actually mechanically right, so nothing much for me to do...All i did was just to tweak your flybar paddles a bit, increase headspeed by leaning out engine, and trimming....

Is it possible to fit on a R50 canopy as well? If i am going to get it lenghtened, might as well give it a good make over? Haha....
Or am i just pushing it?
I dun wanna change it too much also (must be cost effective!!!) upgrade slowly....

math...i think its makes more dollar sense to get a R50....your R30..can sell to others once you mastered flying....

well i am using Raptor 30V2 with R50 tail boom set up without any setbacks.... but thing to point out that i am using Gyro 501 with 9253 with the servos installed at the tail boom, the response is superb

also i am using TT39 for the engine with 550mm wooden blades

i believe is good enough for me to learn the basic moves in RC heli without thinking the pain if my heli crash....

in summary... go ahead and try to experiment urself

Bro, before u make that comment, u look at the number of Raptor owner thread first....

But having flown both... I must admit that the Sceadu is indeed a more stable & precise bird than Raptor...it's becoming my favoured bird over the R50...
