haha hey ray was that directed at yourself ? or did you have a different meaning....

hey hornet yaks aside your heli didnt seem to be working as bad as you made me think it was.

So you had some minor knocks and whacks but things on the whole seem pretty alright no?

At least in the end you didnt smash your heli or kill anyone with his own heli (like frank)

Fiddle around with it more and fly more i'm sure the hornet will start to work better. At the end of the day it's a small harmless little toy helicopter so what the hell.

Just dont ever hit me with those blades they strike the fear of god and a terrible death in me

Hey all... Just to let u all know that my hornet II is working perfectly. What I now doing is to fly more and tweaking more.

In fact, I now love my Hornet II far better than my Dragonfly. Right now I can tweak my Hornet II to have power consumption much lower than Dragonfly with minor compromise (Like tiny and not often tail hunting)

Oh.. I still using the +ve pitch at 0 Throttle for emergency purpose.

NO dudes, i'm not frustrated. not really, I'm just bringing out a real oxymoronic fact. We [me excluded, I can't crash if the heli doesn't lift off the ground?] fly in constant fear of crashing, where's the joy in THAT?

          Anyway, here's Tip #2:

Those who dun own cell phones will benefit as a Hornet 2 flyer.

          Why?

Remember those cute $2, $5 phone cards that Mommy used to pass to you so u'd call back from school? Well the more you use payphones, the less u'd have to pay for the tail fins, and stab and the lexan parts of the heli...... -> Good right!? Either way the stock fins are too soft, so just cut yourself one from a phone card or something similar and brace it at the edges by CAing 1mm carbon rod........

Dun get me wrong dudes, i'm not unhappy or frustrated. But like all helis, it's always constant maintenance, so like i said, if u';re not prepared to work your hands.... dun get one.....

I agree with ray the hornet is not a bird for beginner flyer ( its not needed till you have mastered circuits and stall turns)......

I have a feda, hornet 1 and horent FBL ..but most of my flying is still on the feda..untill I can master the all the moves on the feda I dare not try it on the hornet. The hornet is definatly a better bird but there is the constant fear of crashing and the cost of the parts and the damage that can be done with a crash on the hornet is rather large. untill I can or feel the need to try inverted flyight ther eis no real readon to fly the first moves on the hornet .... thats asking for trouble or more so a crash. ( try it on the som first!)

            cheers

I can only attest to this: the cyclics and height controls are definitely more precise than a Piccolo FP and a Feda. It feels more on groove.

Hey Doug... I agree on u. That is why my Dragonfly is use solely for testing and practising purposes. But Now I love my Hornet II far more than I first bought and fly my DFly.

ya know i sold my DF/FD because of the same reason.

The point is it's so good as a trainer, and u'll neva wanna step away from it..... and then u get accustomed to it's crash worthiness and develop a bad fear of crashing the Hornet.
