Note that I am flying it like a 600 and not 700 size heli.
For 700 size heli...12s is the requirement for a good flying 3D machine.

I do like 10S better on the 600 size heli to keep the weight down ....
You do need higher C rating cells..

I am reading that Bert Goblin 630 is flying with 12S 3700mah....
Personally I find 10S setup for 600 sizes heli is right power setup...I feel 12s is a bit too much power. But 12s will be sharing of lipos easier.

I dun knw I am right but running 10s on my 4025-630kv does give more torque than running on 12s. Again many factor like gear ratio etc.

Had two more flights using the Revolectrix lipos....60C 10S 3700mah with 600mm and tail 105mm blades

Flight #1 : 2000rpm...good smooth flights with good power - 5mins used up 70% capacity. Lipo come down without any increase in temperature

Flight #2 : 2100 rpm ... pure raw power from my perspective and I just hit it as hard as I can - 4.5mins used up 80% capacity. Lipo come down a bit warm.

These 60C lipos perform well....well enough that I got two more packs to fly.

                  Hope the information help...

                          Hey John,

dont mind me but i need to ask a stupid question..

I was just wondering what makes thunder power stand out among the rest of the other brands of batteries?

I mean i know the price is out there above everyone else and i know its because it is able to run at 65c etc etc and has is capable of doing 600 cycles etc etc but why is it capable of achieving such stats where else other brands seem to fall behind? what exactly makes a battery a good battery?
                          Regards,
                          Xuen7

Now with over 30 factories in China, a bizzilion brands who know what you are going to get. Use of materials and QA systems is what count. When bats are made it depends on:
                            1. Quality of materials
                            2. Workmanship
                            3. QA system for checking

There is no battery factory I know of in China that sells their own batteries under their own brand.....because they can;t. You can simply check by looking at CE and UL listings.

So with these brands its all abuot cell selection and picking the right factory with the right materials and QA. Many of the 2nd and 3rd tier use 2nd grade rejects off production to sell. Hell....what is a battery factory going to do with rejected cells....throw them in the bin.....now way. Sell it to someone else cheaply.

TP and other brands have big margins. To cover branding, advertising, sponsorhip, a USA business, warrantee and 50% crash returns. Its all calculated thus you pay for it. Do they use batter materials and QA systems,.....probably yes. As you get what you pay for. Spend enough $ on adverting and I can make you believe whatever I want.

HKong batteries I never trust. Having a middle man with no battery specs and recourse...........don;t touch. I do the same daily with ST and DSO projects....no way I'd buy those. Anyting goes wrong and Midelf is on my butt. Just google LEO Energy

Cycle count. Purity of materials. LiCo and Carbon commonly available to make LiPo but who;s will you use. China made or Japan made? Good manufacturers will not use China made chemicals. Not that they are bad....they just not as good.

C rate; Cycle life......you can print what you want on them usually. who really knows what you'll get.....does the average RC guy actually can test?? Cell IR is the only way to really know. High IR (internal resistance) = heat = battery bloat = battery death.

I was out at tampines last week seeing 100% of batteries in the field bloated. Could not believe my eyes that people accept this is ok from a battery pack,....but they accept this as standard practice. They said its ok....battery die just buy another one. hehehehee

                            hpoe it helps.
feel free to come in and pay us a visit and have a chat with coffee
Well my next pack of battery and charger will be from u for sure....

Try and keep the price afforable if possible for locals.

This is so nostalgic. I feel like i am back in SP again and i just got tips for the finals hahaha.. Thank you Sir for giving me a brief overall view of the Li-po industry system.. it really cleared a lot of questions i had floating in my mind..

However, as i have also done a 6month research on lipos and only to find out that i barely covered the tip of an iceberg i was reminded why i gave up trying to fully understand all the lithium ion battery... have so many more questions for you like "How finding out the internal resistance of a battery can be translated to quality of battery" etc etc

But more importantly, probably the million dollar question is "How does Revolectrix stand up to Thunder Power?" With a huge pricetag difference what exactly are we as consumers missing out on when we choose a revo battery over thunder power...

p.s. my thunder power just arrived and they look like they could be good pillows... i have also mentally prepared myself to regret buying thunder power batts but please dont like that stop you...
