    First Electronic Failure .... in Flight

    Had my first electronic failure in flight today.
    Started to hover on takeoff and about 30 secs later, the 600efl starts spinning and plunge straight into ground.
    Upon impact, saw the tail servo (DS620) smoking and one battery flew out but still connected.
    Quickly unplug the battery from the heli and went on to inspect the battery.
    Battery started smoking too and then threw it to the ground then caught fire.
    Damn the tail servo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I had the DS620 in the Nitro Align 600LE failed on me after flights till I've changed to DS650. Usually after a flight, do feel the servos for heat. If it feels hot, it means there is binding somewhere in which the arms is pushing beyond limits and forcing to move till the pcb gets heated up causing it to blew. Batteries need put velcro plus dual straps each before sloting in tray...

    Perhaps u need check travel adjust on the tail to see no binding...

      Flew the bird yesterday and was fine, about 3 flights.
      Did had the velcro on but the impact was too hard.
      The other pack had a tear on the cover too and i will discard it for safety reasons.
      This crash had been expensive.
      Too many helis!
