Yeah complete. Styrofoam becoz the box printed is wrapped reversed either to protect damage to printing or to avoid inquisitive eyes resulting package lost etc.

AUS is 220V of course I choose that in case you need a transformer if ordered US which is 110V. Anyway, the adaptor came 220-110V so I reckon it's both compliant.

Hi, I have a J6 with adapter cable, but Phoenix doesn't see it. Any tips?

                  Thanks, Daan

Just use the E-Sky Adaptor like those pictures attached to join your Phoenix cable or compatible cords to interface. Calibrate as custom as you usually do. If it is too fast, set to 50% expo on your collective cyclics & rudder as you like it...

Jethobby has on web st S$8 but has yet to update as they've no more stock. Rotor Hobby has the interface cord (S$13) pin out adaptor but comes together in a few interface cables. It is not the last picture direct to the USB interface module. Just the adaptor is enuff! Do note!

Actually it is quite easy to fabricate once we've the pin out signals but because of 2 simple reasons that we're busy or lazy & dun have the time to cool off...

PS: Goodness! It is one of the cheapest simulator TX with such feel, plus works up to windows 7! Align 100S cannot even 3D plus their FMS only works on Windows XP.

If you're using this adaptor cable from Rotor or Jethobby or even other LHS of correct pinout signals, it should work likewise bro. But u need select single 90 servo on your TX plus choose a custom profile on the Phoenix 3.0s.

                      Newbie questions

                      Hi,

Just got my Solo Pro 180 from Taobao (899RMB excl. shipping). As I am a noob and the english and chinese manuals are not comprehensive enough to answer my doubts, I'd like to seek your help:

                      1. On the transmitter, what does the knob HOV.T/FLAP.T do?

                      2. On the transmitter, what does the switch D/R do?

                      3. On the transmitter, what does the switch Trainer do?

                      4. On the transmitter, does the switch G.S mean gyroscope? If so, flicking it towards me means on or off?

Also, I wonder if any of you guys are free to guide me flying this heli. I could get it off the ground and hover slightly but it appears to be very unstable (very slight winds).

Congrats on your acquisition for the NINE EAGLES SOLO PRO 180. As they are interpreted from Chinese, I will try to assist you...

                        1. On the transmitter, what does the knob HOV.T/FLAP.T do?
Knob "HOV.T/FLAP.T" adjusts the values of the throttle as well as for planes. Leave it in centre with the mark at 50%. Rarely you will need that.

                        2. On the transmitter, what does the switch D/R do?
D/R refers to Dual Rate Values that adjust both sides up & down tilt, left & right rudder from minus or plus control direction. You will not use that for the start learn.

                        3. On the transmitter, what does the switch Trainer do?
Switch "Trainer" allows you to connect another NINE EAGLES J6 Transmitter via Trainer Cord for another pilot in the event you need an experienced flyer to control your model or to guide for immediate safety flights.

                        4. On the transmitter, does the switch G.S mean gyroscope? If so, flicking it towards me means on or off?
Yes, that it correct. BTW, Upper left switch F.M/GEAR is for your 3D & default is flipped backwards (Leave this until you're ready for 3D). Turning towards you activates your bird to invert & of course consumes more power. Switch "HOLD/FLAP" is to throttle hold & this prevents accidental spin-ups.

Also, I wonder if any of you guys are free to guide me flying this heli. I could get it off the ground and hover slightly but it appears to be very unstable (very slight winds).
You can come down 31 Anchorvale Lane, Opp Sengkang Methodist Church to join us anytime between 5 to 7pm for some guides or demonstrations. You will still need to practice on simulator and fly to get used to the mini model. Small RC usually is more hyper than bigger ones till you've tuned it to your preferences.

Frankly, not every pilots are free everytime and it is already a miracle despite their heavy schedule to spend 1 to 2 hours gather a short while to be committed in the passion whilst having work or family at hand. You can pop in someday so that you can feel more comfortable in your progress. You might need to buy some spare main gears online in any case for replacements..

What is the right way to "lift off" to practise hovering? Simply push the throttle lever gradually, or... using Throttle Hold, then increase pitch? If so, how much throttle value should be set?

I had pre-ordered spare main blades, tail blades and landing skids. Unfortunately, the tail blades holder cracked. I'm trying to buy that online but in the meantime, will try to superglue the crack. Right now, when the tail rotor spins up to a certain rpm, the cracked piece will fly out like a dart. I had thought I could just be "careful" without training skids - I was dead wrong! Gonna get one later.

As I have "researched" around, I know the importance of training on a simulator and interacting with real people for knowledge on flying rc heli. This heli's TX can be linked to a simulator, a major plus. I almost bought a KDS 450QS (S$299 RTF) but looking at its size and under my n00b control, it's not a good idea. So I got this baby. I'll definitely drop by Sengkang for a chat. I suppose you guys will be there, 5 to 7pm, on Saturdays and/or Sundays? Need to get the timings right coz it's rather far from where I stay. I suppose I'll leave the baby and his mum at home.

Thanks to Elmosan too for assisting in the post.

To take off the Heli, you can't throttle hold and raise pitch that way as hold stops the blade from spinning. It is usually activated after flight or before flight for safety or even started to initiate a blade stop stance to allow special landing. As usual, there are five points for speed setting in the transmitter. Page 9 of your manual states that where "General" is your normal flying & "Throttle3D" is for your inverted flights.

Putting CA into tail blades although sticks in but the blades will not be balanced and it will be shivering or vibrating. Blade balancing will need to be done with tape for temporary flights. Putting training skids into that mini heli does look overkill as it is too light plus it will add substantial weights from taking off. If you're putting skids into KDS450QS, it is much proper. Nevertheless, you make the choice.

KDS450QS is also an excellent preference to learn for the beginning. Parts replacements are ample and it is highly recommended.

Come along one of these days to preview and we shall show you with visual & feel. It will be much faster progress for you. They flew everyday from Mon to Sun provided weather is acceptable. You can allow your family to go on big shopping mall nearby at Compassvale if you need for an hour or so break.
