        Dang it waycool,

I was looking for a VE flyer b4 i hoped into the Hive ..... I didn't know there's a flyer who'd do a VE, a Zoom and a Hornet at the same time

        I'd say it's the Ve?

wha.. when did u get the zoom?

I'd say u fly the hornet most, cos got spares available, whereas the zoom does not have spares readily available so fly less.. then the VE least.. Am i right?

Zoom is not mine. Helping a friend set it up. But don't fret. I love the hornet too. great little flyer for home. Ve strictly outdoor only. get a VE and you've got the best (albeit with limited funds) of both indoor and out.

Love the Ve and spent considerable effort on the canopy

            What you guys think???

              Nice and bright
Are there any LHS supporting the Ve?

                Cool!!!!

I'm interested in the VE movable tail stabilator or stabilizer fin.

So how does it perform? Good?

dare not fly zoom too much (not mine). not a bad flyer at all. I would say, the H2 and Ve has about same air time.

Weekends sees mostly Ve in air and weekday nights sees the H2. If not too windy, I fly h2 when Ve batts charging.

And yes, Ve and H2 got local part support. Ah tat's THE MAN! D_A_M_N Solid flyer! that guy. Psst - don't tell anyone, but heard he bringing in alu upgrades for H2!!!

Ve has got a slight edge in parts cause they are CHEAP. Quality is also top notch. H2 parts are costlier. Due to the fact that H2 parts are tiny and mostly plastic, I had to have a little bit of aileron/elevator mixing on so that the swash is level on higher pitch. Think it's the plastic flexing...

Ve's disadvantage is with the stock ESC/Motor. With a 8 cell nimh, you only get 10 mins. When you go 3s3p or 3s4p, you have to get a brushless setup. At Ve's size, cost of batt/motor/esc is very EX!!! I'm looking/researching into AXI's outrunners. They're cheaper. Just can't find pinions for that gearing!

I'm also looking into twister outrunner for H2. with a 3s, you can fly for about 15 mins! get 3 packs and you have helluva flying day! I suspect something's different in MS twister vs AXI. maybe different wind in motor Ah tat's h2 on twister is a ROCKET! should see him loop, roll, invert ..... like no tomorrow!

enough blabling.... anyone interested in flying at west coast???

                    Bonjour:
Hobby shack supports JR and MS. So both the Ve and H2 you can get parts form hobbyshack.

                    Super-Horny : (oops. I mean Super-HORNET)
Do you mean how well the tail fins work or the heli as a whole?

If you mean the tail fins, Geee, I don't know their effect on flying but Ve tracks and flys straight as arrow... As a whole, it's the most stable/agile electric heli I've ever seen or fly. it's even easier to fly then G2. upgrade the powerplant and I'll be very very happy with it! Hard climbouts are a little soft for my taste. This guy sure attracts lotsa of spectators at the park!

Hi waycock... I mean waycool... I mean fins and as a whole. Why I interested in the movable fin? Well, in some real/commercial/military heli, the fins are movable. Take example Blackhawk.

ha ha! agreed. somethimes i waycock.....

I think you misunderstand the tail fins. it does not move. but you can adjust it's pitch on ground. I have it level and it flys as well as my friend's glow 30. just not as powerful... but i like electric due to less fuss and ground equipment. but glow heli must clean up nitro residue, ve must clean motor of brush dust....

well, i can't fly in west coast now as my flight status has been revoked. second son gonna pop any day. after that i think i'll be grounded for a while. unless the queen approves!

I think with all the ruckus going on in ms, you guys should consider flying at west coast. flew there sometimes and NO bu11shit from any other flyer or mata or public! from what i know, nitro or electric all OK. other nitro guys don't give a that "look" when i flew h2 (like it is a cheap children toy). some even chatted me up cause they dunno much about micro heli and would like to learn more.... maybe can get some accomplised flyer to teach me some moves!!!

                            Hi waycool

U mean the VE tail stabilizer fin doesn't move on flight? I thought it does. In Blackhawk, in foward flight, it is straight/level. In hover, it is in positive pitch.

the effects of such a small fin on such a small scale is very little, almost negligible. the fin wouldn't be able to contribute anything until the heli is moving at very very high speed, as that little fin, if it does move, has to move alot of heavy heli...
