What have I done to my MiniTitan v2.

Modification to FBL of course. I used a RJX FBL head and a TREX swashplate. I have also extended the battery bay instead of the need to put 90g to have a proper balance. The only problem now is the canopy don't fit anymore.

Can I check with you some pointers about building the v2?

First of all, is the 90g weight balance weight needed only for the case of FBL conversion?

As for the boom, do you need to do something else to ensure tight clamping force to the boom block and tail case? ... Like, a layer of tape around the boom before clamping?

    Thanks for info.

Did u face the same problem as my previous Trex 450SeV2? Loose boom even after tightening?

If yes, this is wat i do. Put a layer of double sided tape ard the area that u had mentioned, slowly insert the boom into the boom block (make sure there is lot of allowance in the inner side of the boom block), then tighten the screws on the boom block.

        Hi, thanks for the info.

Not yet setup the Mini-Titan, actually. Just a precautionary check. Don't want to assemble everything, setup the tail nicely then still have to mess around with it. And also don't want to add anything unnecessary, tape, etc. if the Titan design is better, i.e. boom fits nice and tight just with the stock hardware alone.

For the TRex450sev2 clone, I had to use tape to get the boom block to grip tight... then, lo and behold, after a few flights, the tail case starts to rotate...

          Hi,

The mtt v2 is inherently tail heavy and made worst with my tail servo upgrade to Align DS520 and the addition of HC3sx for the mod to fbl.
Prior to the mod, I just move the battery way forward to get the balance.

As for the tape for the tail, I actually was not aware of the issue. No wonder whenever I have a heavy landing my the tail will twist. Hmm, maybe the twist prevented more damage as so far I only need to change the tail blades.

I have not crash since after the mod. The hover was super steady (without the wind) thanks to the HC3sx. And partly also due to the constant head speed which i set on the koby: idle 1 is 2300rpm and idle 2 is 2500 rpm.
