I guess even in morning time there should be at least one side where you do not face the sun ?
I'm asking because it is most likely I will only be able to fly one day per week, on weekends of course ... and 3 to 6PM is just not enough for me to get my weekly fix !! If I don't crash I usually burn 3/4 to 1 gallon + 6 to 8 packs on my 450s in one afternoon. Then i'm good to go back home and feel relaxed until the next week ...
What time is the sun going down in SG again ?

Also 3 weeks ago my wife and I started looking for apartments.
I don't really care about the location because I'm planning on buying a scooter (400cc Silver wing or Burgman ... if anyone knows someone selling a 2nd hand !).
    My office is in Katong.
But my wife really likes Tanglin area ... so will probably end up living somewhere over there.

What's that "poison" all about guys ? Inside joke I guess ... is that related to Nitro flyers ?
Coming to join us this saturday afternoon? From 3pm onwards..
The flying field is by the side of tampines industrial crescent.

Siltronic is a Industrial Building located in Tampines. A number of Electronic Cables, Silicon Ring and others business can be found in Siltronic.

I would have been glad ... but i am still in China.
      I'm moving around July.

Also this is not the field i had in mind at Tampines, the one I visited is the one at Tampines Ave 10 / Tampines Industrial Ave 3.

Enjoy the weekend and fly safe !

This is the original field which we used fly at but due to the amount of plane flies at this site makes it unsafe for our activities, thus the relocation to the new one.

          Hi boys,
Today was pretty good for me ... I broke a 450 main gear and a 600 tail bevel gear "only" ! Pretty lucky on both ...

Sorry Misota but I did not see any open field in the latest link you've sent.
The fields at Tampines I've been few weeks ago is this one, behind Tampines Civil Defence HQ or something :

          http://maps.google.com.hk/maps?f=q&s...21136&t=h&z=16

It's huge and it has nice grass all around ...

            Hi

The map you have just posted, slide it further north and you can see SILTRONIC PTE LTD. We fly just beside the factory. This is where TM MUGEN mentioned. Nice and big field. Good luck. Welcome to SIN.

Morning at cd is ok, just sun in the eye level between 8-9am. In the late afternoon, personally, i find that field overcrowded, too many seperated groups flying at each part of the field with planes path crossing.

But in the morning, it is mainly planes, though some fly both plane and heli.

If you plan to stay at tanglin, you might consider some fields that are closer to there.

E.g jalan panjera. Not that big, but ok for helis.
              huh

                Good evening everyone !

Sorry i need your help again. The relocation company sent me a document explaining what type of goods are subject to duty when importing to SG.
I could read that importation of "Firearms (including airrifles and guns), drugs and narcotics, radio transmitters, pornography" is prohibited ... what about my 12FG ?? Is it considered as a radio transmitter ?
HAaaa ... nevermind, I'm already drooling on the 18MZ

I'm gonna use this relocation services to ship my helis ... any advice on how to pack them ? shall i take out expansive electronics and bring those with me in my suitcase ?

                Thanks !

Unless you are intending to strap harpoon missles to your heli, you should be OK. Oh ... I guess you are talking about the radio transmitter part; I believe that they are talking about amatuer radios (CB radios). Our RC transmitters should be OK.
