I just ordered the TREX 100S online. You have got yours at a good price. I didn't know its out in local hobby stores.
How does it fly? I currently own 3 Solo Pros and a Walkera CB100, so I am wondering if it flies as well as them.
The trex 100s is a piece of shit.
i got one online and damn disappointed during the first flight. Bro Remotemadness is right. The tail keeps drifting/yawing left, even i put the trim max right. And the kit tx response sucks
damn frustrating. [worst is that i bought extra 4 batt and each is damn ex] really disappointed with align
I might want to try the msr as what remotemadness said. seems good. BNF can use my own tx.

Oh no, it does sound horrifying from all the negative reviews.
I was over at RCGroups and people were commenting about its inconsistent build quality. The weak point here is probably the self-installation of the rotor head. Both my CB100 and Solo Pro came completely assembled when I got them. I'm not sure if I will be the "lucky few" who can get one in mint condition.
I am still waiting for my Trex 100S to arrive. Frankly speaking, I made the impulse buy based on how nice the heli looked and also the ability to charge the batteries using my Solo Pro wall charger. Now it seems like my $200 is potentially going down the drain. Could have gotten a MSR instead.
Its quite difficult to fly and requires a little bit of getting used to compared to my Solo Pro. CB100 feels more tamed also compared to the Trex 100.
Mine flies decently except for the annoying problem of spinning anti-clockwise during the entire flight. Even after full rudder trim, not much improvement was seen also. Could it be the gyro problem?
Can you please explain what is meant by "run-rate gyro"?
My Trex 100 still likes to spin to the left, by I have learnt to compensate it with the rudder stick. A bit annoying, but still, at least it is still controllable. Hands free hover is impossible if I can't resolve the rudder issue.
got my Trex 100 SC last week and it flies perfectly for a beginner like me.. a few crashes has damaged the canopy and im looking at getting a replacement... looks like the MCPx and the Solo Pro V2 canopies can also be used.
The only good thing about Align 100S is that the controller TX can be connected to a PC for simulator for beginners. However, due to it that it is 4channel, it does not have inverted flying or ST modes. It is like E-Sky those predecessor series that I had many years back when I started RC.
It relies on the wind to counter it's position "Only" once it is in mid flights. To do precision hold at any pivot points, only MCPx is the due survival & winner.
Because I am a collector & flyer, I still holds these in the fun fleet. Otherwise I would have drop a brick on top of it from 3rd floor flat...
