New life into a old heli

my RJX50 has been sitting on my shelf more often than flown and since been decommissioned. decided to do an experimental conversion to a stretched electric heli like what JYheli did years ago

The aim of this heli is to extend the life of a aging airframe. basically i can use a raptor mainshaft, align head, raptor 50 belt, 700 boom and that covers the usual crash parts that are still readily available.

not sure if i will actually fly this heli yet. its just something to do with it since there is no way to sell this heli in the marketplace anyway.

the basic set up in my mind is:
CC 85HV
Align 700MX
Beast X
690mm blades
cheapo 6s 4000mah lipos X 2





i looked at the srimok layout and decided to copy that and came up with what u see now.

hehe. frankenheli projects are fun! there is always a chance the whole thing will blow up!

Buy the lowest kv motor you can find, then use a larger pinion. Minimum you need for M1 is 10T. 9T might wear out the main gear very fast, as I found on my e-raptor. Thickness of gear might be another issue for 700mm blades...If I am not wrong, should be same thickness as that of the raptor.
