Blade SR Diasaster.

Just bought Blade SR.

I all along using Mode 1 Tx. SR come with mode 2. Never mind, I thought should be no problem.

Today I power up SR. Fly abit, hover and then settle down. Suddenly SR lean abit to the right. Quite near the ground, so I cut throttle.

Guess what? My mode 1 instinct kick in. Cut throttle become backwards cyclic. SR went into high speed reverse. Tried to compensate, in the end the the SR rotor eat dirt.

The whole rotor head is totaled. Below are some carnage pictures.

Lesson learn, stick to mode 1.

Sorry for your loss. Couple years ago when starting this hobby I also gave some thought as to whether Mode 1 or 2.

Mode 2 is only widely used in the USA, but they have the numbers to justify an entire market of their own. Plus lots of fantastic stuff over there, like these bind-and-fly thingy, only come in Mode 2.

So went ahead and learned using Mode 2... only thing is that up till today I don't have a DSM2 TX

Tmr going back RCS and get a Mode 1 alr. Not to mention dont know how much the spares going to be? Should be about $50 ba. Lucky not that ex...

I am mode 1 flyer and I recall crashing a buddy's 450se in mode 2. Learnt my mistake after that, never ever think mess with other modes other than the one you are most familiar with.

Haha I managed to unscrew and swap the Tx to mode 1. Actually wanted to buy a mode 1 Spektrum Dx7 today at FookHai downstairs
