    New Trex 600 HV version

Surprised this hasn't made any news here yet. new Trex is in design and testing phase. should not be long before released if history proves correct. Align working on new FBL system also.

i am usually not a big fan of slide in battery design as i fly 12s and putting 2 batts into slide in frames are a PAIN. but ALIGN seem to have found a good solution.

one of the pics with alan szabo shows the batts being mounted to a plastic slider tray kind of thing. i believe u first strap ur batts to this plastic slider, then u insert the whole thing into the frame via rails on the batt compartment.

        quite clever! but adds weight!

direct linkage is all the rage now with mikado and MA and others. saves weight and provide more direct response at the expense of possible crash damage to servos. good or bad you decide.

the electronics tray might be abit too small. hard to put in BEC or reciever pack + FBL gyro + ESC + receiver. well maybe can but its a tight fit.

first heli that didnt reuse the align head. hopefully they got the head correct this time.

still, a good heli to add to the overcrowding 600 electronic market!

        more choices good!

        CHEERS!

Looks like they adpoted the Trex700E frame design.

Yeah, totally love the direct servo to swash feel after I've flown the Logo600. You feel so connected to the heli.

I could be wrong, but the motor beside servo will probably mean the servo soaking up heat from the motor, especially if you run a hot motor like scorpions.

The way the two aileron servos are positioned will cause the linkage between the servo arm and swash to be at an awkward angle. Otherwise I can't see how the servo arm will be long enough to get enough throw on the swash. The new rotor head is probably to get more pitch from less movement of the swash to counter this problem...so if you put the new head on the old one, it is going to be super agressive and agile...

They also change the rotor head system. Notice the mixer ratio is on the blade grip itself.

thanks for the headsup. looks like gonna spend money again. on hindsight, looks like a 700e design.

gyro mounting too close to motor

I think the gyro/fbl mounting platform is too close to the motor, easy to pick up interference.
