    Aeolus 50 3D VII-SV

Brand new version of 50 size 3D helicopter in town. Aeolus 50 3D VII-SV.

    - Full metal head.
    - Special "Pineapple gear design" (for tail drive).
    - Metal tail assembly.
    - Carbon fiber main frame.
    - Torque tube driven tail.

Great thing about this helicopter's special "Pineapple gear" design is that this is the weakest point which drives the torque tube system. Inside the tail boom, 2 bearings work hand in hand to prevent bent shaft due to wear and tear. Frame is very solid and rigid.

    More photos coming up!

    Singapore's sole distributor:
    Hobby Square LLP.
Sim Lim Square, #01-26. (Near loading bay)

If I'm not wrong, they are different size. This one is slightly bigger than Align's. All spares available at Hobby Square. For both VI and VII-SV....

PS: Aeolus is in fact lighter than TREX....Skinny framework similar to TianZi...

i think the last one in Zonghans reply is a electric heli. u can see the cutout for the batts and motor.

watch the link below for a video of testing by Justin Jee.

                    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eGsx...embedded#at=80

the Heli actually looks abit loaded and the 8S pack in the flight sounds really pushed at the last minute of the flight. maybe should go 10s or 12s.

the Aeolus design doesnt look too bad actually. but looks heavy. not sure of the pricing of these helis right now also.

I think the Heli market has been split wide open by cheap chinese helis. its either people go really cheap with clone trex or the pay premium for the brand names. not much space for the middle ground.

anyway more helis more choices! always a good thing!

                    CHEERS!

I think stickman replied your query. The photo is a EP version. Frame design is from VI but the flybarless head fits VII also. The set up does not require a different set of main shaft. Note that VI and VII has different main shafts.

The frame design of the EP version fits 2x6 cell packs side by side (Test fit with 2200mAH zippy batt only 2/3 way long in slot, exact width side by side, height exact fit). Just get packs that is as long as the slot, and plug it in. Got more than enough slots for battery strapssssssssssss.

For me, its still nitros....only the flybarless head tempts me...haha. Wonder if it will fly well...?
