Does Ep heli easy to fly

does ep heli easy to fly... and does u need to set up the heli b4 flying...is the heli easy to set ?? and how to set up the heli... does the t-rex 450 fly inverted and how long do a newbie need to learn to fly the ep heli ??

      Hi HolyOne

Normally, the bigger the heli, the better or the more stable it is. With that, it does not matter whether it is Electric powered or Internal Combustion Engine powered heli.

Are u a beginner in Heli? There always a lot of debate whether beginner should stick to Fixed Pitch (FP) heli or Collective Pitch (CP) for learning.

Both FP and CP flight characteristic differ from each other. FP should be has lesser variable (or things to calibrate/align) than CP and thus, more suitable for beginner BUT normally CP heli are more stable than FP heli instead.

FP heli cyclics responsiveness varies when u move your throttle stick but collectiveness (Lifting) response is slower than CP. That is because Collective changes (or lifting or decending) is varies by the speed of the motor/engine/rotor. Faster spin and thus more lift and also causing higher cyclics response movement due to paddles travel faster.

For CP, the cyclics should be consistant because your motor/engine/rotor speed is constant. Collective response is faster due to lifting or collective changes is done by the blade pitch changes. Changing pitch is faster than changing motor/engine/rotor speed. This theory is valid only if you make your rotor speed constant (Like Governor or good throttle curve programming) and thus more variables to adjust. Thus, it maybe overwelming to new comer.

Oh... any heli that is capable of having its blades to go negative pitch is capable of doing inverted fly.

      Sorry I talk/type too long.

once u get ur orientation rite,it will be no prob.
Vut to practice ur orientation,u need a simulator(u dun wanna try it on da real thing )

Depends on size..but if you're talking abt the Trex or any other micro electric heli...It will be more difficult and u must control your throttle well to keep it at same altitude if not the heli will go up and down
All helis will face this problem including 90 helis just that the larger heli u have,it will be less unstable
