ZOOM Belt drive converion, LESS THAN 20 dollars!

    hi guys,
i was just looking at some websites
on how to make your own belt drive for your ZOOM.
i think you need to know how to cut and drill the parts
in order to get it done.
i think it is worth if for whoever that knows how to cut and drill parts.
here are just some pics of the Conversion.
here are some pics to enjoy....
    and the link

      Hi,

I fly my Zap with the HeliUp's Belt upgrade. Some may optioned for the Hub Dave's and many did also optioned for the Cuttingedgecnc's parts but a belt drive on Zap is worth it. Very smooth and I never regret it.

Not to forget it is an extra cost we got to bare. Anyway I wish you all the best.

wow, that heliup parts looks very nice,
as u mentioned above, i will jst be waiting the delivery of my Hub Dave.
it cuts the cost a little bit, i suspect the heliup parts came very BLING though,
        very nice....
keep it up. i think we are the few people flying the Zap nowadays...

          Hi,

Yep , I guess we are the very few ones who fly Zap and I love my Zap.

Hub Dave's kit is also ok. HeliUp's kit may look nice but certain parts of the kit may need to be modified lightly before fitting. For example the elevator arm cross section beam needed to be about 1 mm narrower as the arm rubs will against the inner chasis especially on the left side chasis.

You may also need to be carefull on the end point adjustment for the elevator control. The belt will touch the elevator if applied too much elevator control when you want to nose up your heli.

            yeah,
its a shame that there are less and less Zap flyers out there,
its such a great little mini Heli in my opinion,
much better for a start up heli than those like the honey bee,
which are Not tail driven. but i had 2 of the honey bees,
still like to mess abt with it, but now its just grounded, cuz its so unstable-for me. anyway, thanks for your pictures, i really wanted to get the Heli up,
but where to find the money?
anyway, that Zap of yours i lovely.
