    Hi all

    I think I make a mistake here.... Outrunner => More torque. Inrunner => More RPM.

    Therefore, to use Outrunner, u have to use high teeth pinion.
    Inrunner, u use low teeth pinion.

    Sorry for the mistake.

        i think the torque an outrunner produces is very helicopter friendly indeed, as i think it's much more capable in terms of dealing with the instantaneous changes in torque involved with a CP head.


        In fixed pitch system like a plane or FP heli i'd think a naturally higher RPM motor with a higher KV through a larger reduction would work at higher efficiency and would respond quicker to RPM changes
