just to share some of my project progress and open to feedback




here is a video of the hovering prototype



the final product is almost done and should be fix for flying next weekend.

here are the items use
2 x gaui 100 main frame
2 x trex 250 motor esc blades pinions
3x 401
1x tech link tandem mixer board
1x hitec aurora 9
1x 1500 25c lipo
2x 450 main frame
some carbon rods
carbon sheets

special thanks to Damien and Terence
this project is base on RnD
hence some money is being wasted on wrong parts and electronics.
many prototype have been fail but fail will explain in later post.

yes correct.
original idea was to add stouts and a fuselage, but the workman ship turns out to be very poor and it is also too heavy

Yes the struts looks very heavy, maybe lighten it lots.

From the video, it does looks like it hovers and flys under control.

One suggestion, perhaps the "Tail" you want to add a "vee" tail in addition to the one pointing to the bottom, may give it some areodynamics stability.

very nice! may i ask why u opt for 2 rotor side by side configuration rather than the 2 rotor fore and aft configuration (like a chinook heli), or a usual 4 rotor type? but congrats, its really a nice piece of project.

That one... looks more like from German during WWII. It is called:
Focke-Achgelis Fa 223 "Drache"

For Avatar, it uses twin "ducted fan" type.

For "Caprica" (see picture below), it looks like mixture of Osprey and Blackhawk..but uses twin jet instead.
