Howdy folks, need advice from Bros on the proper setup of this "erratic" gyro. Read through helifreak & other forums but somehow still cannot get this gyro to work right. It held up well during normal flight but when I switched the heli to IU mode, it was wagging like a puppy's tail and would also at times rudder without any inputs from the tx(scary crap!).
In any instance, I still attempted a couple of flips on the beam. The first two attempts went well but the third ended in a crash which costed me a pair of blades, a spindle shaft and most likely a main shaft but it was at a low altitude.
Anyone here with any good luck on this baby? I tried the following but it was pretty futile:
1) physical installation of gyro-foam-metal plate-foam;
2) strapped the gyro with velcro
3) using a dx6i with 66% gain on the gyro. TR servo is DS520 and 9257. Both servos hold extremely well during hover but once in IU mode, happy puppy syndrome sets in.
Would be very grateful for any valuable inputs. Many thanks in advance.
