    Honey Bee King 2 Manual

    Hi
Does anyone still have the manual for the HB King 2. I can't locate mine and would be grateful to get a PDF copy.

I crashed this afternoon. Need to figure out what to buy and how to put it back together.
    Many thanks
    Ken

    Hi Bro,

Where do you fly your HBK2? I also on JR, maybe can get some tips from you.

I fly in the basement carpark my apartment as there's no wind there. Still on lesson 1 of rudd's school of rotary flight. Probably the wrong person to ask for tips...

Have lots of expertise on how to crash though!

Just curious. Is the Honey Bee King 2 spare parts for commonly broken stuff expensive ?

No, not too expensive. But increasingly harder to find, IMHO. The HBK2 is already superseded (by the HBK3), and not many shops (except one!) carry this type or the spares locally.

I do have a spare kit available, with brushless motor upgrade and E-sky headlock gyro (EK2-0704A). No longer flying it so if you're interested to get the entire spare kit, PM me for the detailed parts. Cheap, cheap. Will throw in any HBK2 spares I have lying around too, plus the training gear (ping pong balls).

                  HBKing2

I started flying with a co-axial heli, then moved on to a honeybee king 2.
Knowing that, this bird is a very difficult to learn and fly heli, but persisted on with the learning curve. Few mods is a must for king2, without those mods, u'll not be able to get this bird flying (hovering)....
                  1) Brushless motor (3900kv)
                  2) Brushless esc (20-30Amp)
                  3) Good headlock / head holding gyro (stock gyro is crap)

After all these mods done. I found that its easier to hover, more power, easier to lift-off the training skid and less twitchy (in a way). U finally able to predicts where's the heli tilting to, so on and so forth, and after a few sessions, u'll be able to "catch" where's the direction the heli going to tilts... just apply very slight aileron or elevator to "balance" the heli.... and wala
                  u done it...

After knowing how to hover king2, hovering a 450size heli is chicken-feat liao... (as the saying says, once u can hover a king2, any 450 size heli or bigger is as easy as 123)
                  thxs.

Right on man, couldn't agree more... good bird to start learning with !!! If you want more power n stability for the bird, u can mod it with a 450 head n 450 tail as well like what i did...

Wow isn't jumping from coaxial to CP heli a big jump ? I thought of starting with something small like nine eagle solo pro.

Smaller heli are more difficult to learn fly, unless its a co-axial (4channel).
The bigger it is, the easier to learn, and more stable...

Start with lifting-off the training skid first, until u're very confident of balancing the heli (aileron & elevator stick movement), then up throttle slowly, bit by bit, slow and steady, will win the game...
Never be impatient when learning to hover heli, if cannot down heli, never take-off if u're unable to balance the heli (dont' take risks, u will regret)...

I found that, using a stock esky 6channel tx is easier to control king2, analog tx is less sensitive to sudden stick movement...
while a digital tx is just the opposite, very sensitive to sudden stick movement, u hv to use expo to off-set the sensitivity... (jr + expo) (futaba - expo)...
