    Help with ZAP400

I need some help with setting up my new ZAP cos im new to RC helicopters..heh..

I was hooking up the servos and the speed controller to the receiver and decided to not connect the motor to the electronics yet... Instead, I hooked up the terminals that go to the motor to a voltmeter instead...

Here's what I noticed.. the pitch servo works in the correct direction (i.e... push throttle stick up and blades have higher angle of attack).. However, when I do that, I noticed that the voltmeter reads less than 1V and when I move the throttle stick back down, it reads 11V...

Why is the motor working in reverse with the servo? I'm really puzzled. Please help.. Thanks alot

      woops.. you're right...

I'm using a Futaba T6XH 6 channel radio and the RC mart receiver and speed controller provided by SG hobby... It is a stock motor that I am using..

I've been stumped for a week now

For what i understand is that u have to reverse the throttle servo direction in your radio.

FYI, my zap throttle is reverse. Of coz the pitch is ok for your case.

Reversing servo direction does not help. The pitching is reversed but not the signal from the speed controller.

Well u misunderstood, reversing the throttle servo direction in your tx is totally different from reversing your pictch direction.

            If u setup up correctly,

            channel 1 is aileron
            channel 2 is elevator,
            channel 3 is throttle,
            channel 4 is rudder,
            channel 6 is your pitch.

What u need to is reverse is channel 3 throttle while the pithc channel 6 remain the same.

Your esc has no direction but one positive.

If u ever test your throttle with reverse direction u will understand what i mean. If u still dun get it guess u have to join their fun fly at bishan every sunday morning. I suggest u test it out with un mounted motor by pushing the trttle stick slowly. If the motor direction is wrong then swap the motor's wires.

            Hope these help.

            Cheers!
