    Daisy chain

    Hi folks!

I am learning from the good guys at woodlands, *you know who you are*

Flying a rappy 30 v1, tanks pretty small , hence, plugged in a header tank, would like to know if anyone tried to daisy chain another header tank to the 1st header tank?

Think it will work?? , comments pls..

    All the best
    Nick

not sure if the fuel pressure would be high enough. why not get a 50 sized v1 tank?

      50 v1 tank

      Thanks brandon,

am told that the v1 30 frame that i have cant fit the fuel tanks of other capacity raptors..hence this thought :-)

correct me if I'm wrong but the fuel tanks are the same?!

        no?

I used to get 23 mins of flight time with OS32 and 15% nitro on my R30V1...good power but a bit hot on the 32...I guess it's typical of a small engine...

          Nick dear,

          i think your V1 tank needs a R50V2.

          enjoy.

the v2 tank won't fit into a v1, but i've seen a very long tank which is made for the 50v1, and its much bigger than the normal 30 v1 tank. not sure if rotor still sells that tank or not.

                Thanks Guys!

Will seek out the 50 v1 tank, at least it will chalk up towards the 500 needed for discounts at rotor!

Abang jazallo, cant hover properly yet so no 50v2 thoughts lah , thanks for your guidance and patience and most of all friendship..

then it wouldn't be a header/ hopper tank anymore... can call it a spare tank~.. that is what's on many helis.
header tank main function is to provide constant flow regardless of aircraft attitude. to do this the inlet has to be in the middle of the tank.. i.e the 'useable' fuel inside is only abt half of the header tank.

but y would you want to fly for so long?.. not sianz meh...
sometimes can't wait till the fuel inside finishes....
take a break while refuelling lo.. or can try hot-refuelling..

me too still using v1 ori tank + header tank, fly around 20+min , is
quite long already for me . v r put in 100% of concentration when fly ,
so after 20+min get some rest to relax is good
