    New Mini Titan E325 V2

So not long before new MiniT V2 hits our shores - the date I have is 10th June.

It will be about $500 with same motor and esc that came with the V1. $430 without.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Haven't seen much buzz on these forums about it though?

Are there any decent reviews up online yet?

$500 even with motor and ESC is kind of pricey, but if the head and tail are metal, well...

I've no experience with the mini-T and will probably get one of these v2 to try out vs. the usual TRex 450 clone. The frame at least looks more robust, and I think the tail boom is mounted better than on the 450. Are there any issues with the original mini-T design that you'd like to see fixed in the v2??

Yes agreed it is pretty pricey. Similar to a BEAM I guess. And there's nothing really wrong with my stock mini-T either, which I've flown 2-3 times a month for the last 3 years without so much of a hitch and without the need for any replacement parts (i did upgrade to a few metal head parts though).

Only small issue I've had was tracking related when not using woodies. Even with metal parts in the head it is super sensitive on the set-up so once it is dialled in right I never dare touch it as it can take ages to get it tracking perfectly again.

On top of that, I just fancy something new I guess - itchy fingers! And now I only have the one heli in my fleet it's a little easier to justify the purchase!

It's quite odd that this is on tail drive while they just released a torque tube upgrade a few months ago. It sure looks like the old MT tail transmission unit from the idler gear mount all the way to the tail won't fit.

being a huge fan of the MT, i am eagerly awaiting for V2. I however cannot understand why it's not torque tube.

A belt drive for the tail is judged to be more robust and crash-resistant than a torque tube system, I guess. Still, the price ($) - I think TT is very brave to put such a high premium on their heli when there's an abundance of cheap TRex 450-size clones flooding the market out there. They should draw a lesson from the battle of the OS - MS-DOS/Windows vs. Apple/Mac.

Tks Kiply, it is a very nice 450 size heli indeed.
