How Did you guys tackle the HK heli series soft screw problem??

    Hi guys,
I now own a HK450MT and i just as i expected the screws were soft,
The problem is, the whole head assembly came assembled, and the bolts holding the blade grips to the feathering shaft are tight, they won't budge, they are so tight on my 1st try i stripped the screw's head, so how do you deal with this?
I do not really like the idea of buying a whole head assembly just because of a screw that can't be removed.
    Thanks guys
    Cheers

    Don't trust them

I have the HK450GT pro and 3 crashes so far, all due to the metal part (including screw ) of the HK450GT.... Blade grip break easily just on low level blade touch the ground. Ball on main swash and the tail hub exploded in mid air....all just give way.....

so I don;t trust their metal part and screw anymore ..it is ALign or Flasher parts for me.

same here, im on flasher helis, but the screw heads are also screwing up !@#(

what i do is that i first try to unscrew the head. then if that fails. i grab my brother's "S.O.G" which is basically something like a multi tool issued by the armed forces to clamp and unscrew with the pliers of the tool shoot me... i got sick of trying to unscrew the screws.

anyway, im replacing the screws with those "beam style" screws. not sure whats the exact name.

I just saw HeliGuru parts list, im so glad the parts are very well priced, so that i can still be in the hobby!
So okay then i shall replace all the important stress points with flasher parts as soon i got the time, anyone know how the flasher hardware screws are doing?

So bro, but then how you take out those at the main blade grips? i tried pliers, not enough grip,
Maybe i should just buy a flasher head, more money wasted like this

            HK450 Screwed Up Screws

go to rotor and buy a bag of align's around $14 bucks and it comes with 'blus coloured washers' as well. btw there's a shop that sells only screws on the ground floor facing the main road. bought some 2mm self locking nuts from them not long ago. have fun and don'ts get so screwed up. cheers

For those here who have difficulty removing the Hk screws

I have heard from Heli freak members, that the screws are not 1.5mm they are actually 1/16!
                Cheers

I have had mine a year and haven't stripped them yet, can't say the same with the hudy set , I snapped 2 of the spring steel, waste of money in my opinion.

And yes I say the same thing, I found if the 1.5 is loose the 1/16 is the one that fits snug.

I bought myself a 1/16 and it testing proves that its now much more easier to remove HK screws
