    T-Rex Wobble

My T-Rex is wobbling, as the throttle is being increased, the wobble gets more and more violent.

I have tracked the blades, checked that the main shaft is not bend and almost all parts of the head to make sure nothing is loose.

    What else should i check?

    hi fleek,
i t rex used to wobble, your main shaft is bent, this happened to me before, i had to take the shaft and really examine it by rolling on the floor to actually notice that is bent, and it wasnt even that much, just a slight bent. i met up with metal gear when it happened, and he said it was nothing wrong and my shaft is not bent. by just looking at it spin.
    well i hope i helped.

I have checked the main shaft by rolling it on a glass table, but it is perfectly straight, so it couldn't be the main shaft.

        Hi Fleek,
check the main gear, the 'teeths' could be chipped. Rotate the main gear manually and feel it with your fingers. Mine was wobbling recently too before take off until i realise the problem and change to a new main gear.

Hope it helps solve the problem...

        Cheers,

          possible causes:

          - unbalanced main blades
          - un COG ed main blades
          - bent shaft
          - missing teeth on the main gear
          - head assembly binding somewhere

my guess from what you have said its number 1or 2

          cheers doug

One possible... u tighten the main blade too tight try loosen it and spin it, up to a point when both blade balance out it will smoothen.
            Try it!

I think Fredrick is right,Wobbling is a kind of lateral vibration, it happen when your blades assy is lateraly out of balance, (lead and lag), just loosen the blade grip, let the centrifugal force straighten and balance for you.my 2 cents..

Check your dampers.... i.e. the "O" rings at your main rotor grip.
Too loose also cannot. Too stiff also cannot. Both will results in wobbling.

Check the bearings in your rotor grips too.
                huh

Thanks for all the help..the mystery is solved.

The problem lies with the aileron servos, one gear teeth is missing and couldn't hold the neutral position properly.

We always get to learn from each others problem. Will add this to part of my problem solving.

That is the so-called "karbonite" gear of the hs56!!
                      hahaha.. power man!!

Anyway, glad to see problem solved!

I am not surprised....even steel main shaft also can bend ...

Maybe should try the new titanium ones
