The EVO 50 is good without any upgrade, has push-pull on all control surfaces.
if u wanna upgrade den by all means get the SDG rotorhead but hirobo upgrades are kinda exx(319 USD if im rite) or u could start out once and for all by buying the EVO full option version part no. 0403-932. Should be cheaper in the long run.But if u dunno how to fly yet, better get the standard version cos crashes WILL BE VERY EXXX
But so far for me,i like my standard EVO 50
Thank You all for the guidance.
I heard from friend that EVO original tail rotor blade grip has a problem. Did you upgrade yours to Feya tail blade grip.
EVO 50 got tail grip problem, It happened to me once, the heli was flying high, in the mid air the tail blade grip gave way, that crash cost me S$200, you better upgrade yr EVO50 to Freya tail.

just curious,
do u know how to fly??cos if u don't,u might wanna stick to a raptor.WHY???
-Crash costs are generally more expensive with a sceadu. but parts quality is better than raptor
-Raptors are easier to mantain and build because of lower parts count and the fact that sceadu has push-pull controls. This makes the EVO more
slop-free but is difficult to set up.
I like EVO design better, THANKS for the caution will be extra careful cous $$$$. I have put in a thrid bearing block for the tail belt drive. Same part number as the lower one. Will installed the Feya tail blade grip. I have put in spacer betwen the main frame as well.
If you can affort, change the stock DTDS (main gear and 2nd gear) to the upgrade Delrin one. The new EVO plastic is too hard and chances are the 2nd gear (that drive tail) would crack and break during flight.. I.e. crash! The delrin one is also smoother and lower noise....
Change also the plastic washout base to Metal EX Washout Base. There is too much slop on the plastic one.

Own both EVO 50 and Raptor 50...... but EVO rule
Thanks/Kang
I like EVO
If only change the main DTDS gear does it help cous it still drives the plastic gear of the tail. Do you know if there is upgrade for that gear as well.
Changing only the main gear is not good enough, the parts that usually give way first is the 2nd gear..... That's is where the jeses bolt is, you might overtighten it and the hard plastic cracked without you knowing it, then you fly it and .....
The only place you can get most of the upgrade including the DTDS is SHS. Look for Jeffrey, he is the nice guy to deal wth, and helpful too
