Strange control delay on PhoenixRC Sim

Well, I can't find a right channel to post this question, so forgive me if I put wrong place.

I'm using DX7 on my PhoenixRC Simulator. The funny thing is that on my computer, the controls have a 0.5 to 1 second delay. Its like I up throttle, then maybe 0.5 seconds later, the heli in the simulator responses. Can't even hover properly! I even got a independant USB card but its the same. I tried bringing my controller and cable to my friends laptop, it works fine. Same WinXP same version of simulator...And he had slow frame rates! I've got perfect frame rate even when I set to the highest possible graphic settings.

Here is a spec of my PC...Anyone able to tell me whats wrong?
    Intel Pentium 4 2.6GHz
1GB DDR RAM (400MHz exact speed is 428MHz)
Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 (Rev 1.x) motherboard (intel chipset 875P)
ATI X1650 Pro AGP graphic card (512MB)
    SoundBlaster Audigy
VIA usb card (Extra installed to test if its the USB port speed....But I'm wrong)
    DirectX9.0c
    All latest drivers were installed

Anyone solved this problem before? Please help...

    Hmmm,

For phoenix, i'm using a dedicated model in my DX7 when using Simulator.
I've set the exponential on my radio to "0"..
I adjust my expo on the software...

As for normal & idle up pitch and throttle curves, all are set on the
DX7 itself.. Inclusive of throttle hold, etc....

    It works for me...

My pc specs is AMD and 8600 Nvidia, 4GB memory..
    Running on Vista.

      ver 2?

You must be using the latest version 2.xxxx, i have the sma eproblem.

Downgrade back to my own version 1.04 or 1.05 and it is fine.

Well, I can be quite sure the problem doesn't lie on the controller. Your settings were the same as mine... I actually tested the response in the calibration page. I can see the bars moving at a delayed response....

I am using 1.04i...was a official release... My friend one also same version but his one got no delay when I used my cable and transmitter on his pc.... I was thinking maybe my P4 is only HT technology. His is a Pro Duo but at a lower speed....

Mine is P4 wz HT also, running Phoenix v1.04i no probs here. Try use another graphics card if possible (jus to chk for compatability issues) or upgrade yr RAM. Or u can troubleshoot using lower resolutions for yr phoenix sim. Make sure u dun hv any other programs running in the background since u hv 1Gb RAM esp antivirus softwares.....

Ya...I was kindda suspecting the RAM speed....but I'm running it in parellel. So got 800MHz mah.... My WinXP was a fresh copy too. No extra programs running...

Sori but dun quite understand u thr..... wat u mean by running it in parallel? I'm no whiz kid.... RAM speed will play a part but the amount of RAM plays an even greater part....
I m running 4Gb of 400mhz RAM..... Err how do u calculate my RAM speed den?

Think might be something to do with your system configuration or driver. I'm using an old notebook, only Pentium 1.6 and Intel graphic accelerator, and the program and response are fine.

Well, in the older days, when we have 2 pieces of 512MB 400MHz RAM for example, it will become 1GB 400 MHz. With the parellel config, the system will run in 1GB 800MHz RAM. Which means it will combine speed and size instead of just the RAM size. But you have to make sure that in order for the system to run in Parallel RAM mode, the pieces of RAM will have to be in the slots of the same color. Check your motherboard manual for more details.

Ohhh.... u r talking abt Dual Channel DIMM slots.... aiya... i tot wat parallel config.... so chim....
Anyways jus try increase yr RAM to at least 2Gb... i've read somewhr tt VISTA needs at least 2Gb of RAM to work smoothly. The entry-level/start-up is already 512Mb of RAM usage....
