    Raptor 50SE clutch bell lining

Tried to replace the clutch lining, epoxied e lining to e inner wall of e clutch bell;after installation, turned starter shaft clockwise,it's working fine(no contact wif clutch),but when starter shaft turned anti clickwise, clutch engaged as a result mainblade start turning as well and had problem cranking shaft due to tight fit.Any suggestions to help me overcome this?Tried to sand away the clutch lining, anymore suggestions, dun think this is normal.Appreciate ur suggestions, thnx

Sounds like you simply replace the liner without adjusting for the proper gap..

yes. its kinda normal to have that problem for a new lining i guess.

but what i would do is, hold the blades and spool up the engine. let the clutch burn. do it slowly. if not your one way will give way.

      cheers!

do u think i should sand down the liner so that the clutch bell can turn freely both directions?

If i hold the blades, chances are my starter will not be able to spin the shaft

            i dun quite understand.

what i meant is, after you start up your engine, hold on to the blades and spool up the engine to burn the clutch.

problem is,when i start to crank, the blades will follow to rotate, theres no way i can start engine with the blades turning at e same time,& if i hold e blades,i can't turn my starter shaft

i never had a raptor 90 3D. i have a raptor 90 with Vmax ccpm conversion though. Flies good. Of course, a ccpm can beat a hpm anytime provided its being setted up properly.

but with a good pilot, all machines are great. its the feeling that each helicopter gives to the pilot.

personally, when i had the raptor 90, i was still beginning to get to 3D. Heavy like a rock. Response is not as responsive compared to CCPM of course. why ask?
