hi Alberted, welcome~ u might find plane easier to learn. those high wing type will definately helps. some fly heli, can straight fly plane becos they are farmiliar with the orientations. best is look in the "Local Flying / Boating / Racing Group" and find those funfly nearest to your place, come down, look ard, ask ard. they'll b glade to help. and u'll find ur flyin very soon. ouh~ not dat soon, after getting ur stuffs, train on the sim 1st, u won't regret...

Better still, join the those funflies you can. From there you'll see many types of planes and perhaps find your love there
Easier to start if you fly same type of planes the seasoned flyers are flying, as tips like CG and placement of electronics can be given.

if im nt wrong. CG = Center of gravity or also COG. it is where ur plane balances? means front n back same.. so it can be straight... not front / back heavy...

If u intend to fly electric heli then 7 ch will be better......

3 channels for cyclic (3 servos)
                      2 channels for good gyro
                      1 channel for ESC
1 channel for separate BEC (mostly bigger heli)
After so many years, I am still a beginner
