I personally have a T600 that runs on budget stuff. Maybe some reference for you. I do some light acrobatics and looks like more than enough for my flying style
    Motor: TT OBL 49/50H
    Servos: Hitec 5625MG (6v)
Gyro: LT2100 combo with logictech servo (regulated 5v)
    ESC: TT65A
    Batts: 8s1p 4900mah

I have no complaints on the electronics, they have served me well so far.

    2nd trex
    Motor: Z-Power 50a 800
    Servos: Futaba 9451 (5v)
    Gyro: 502 w 9254 (5v)
    ESC: CC110A HV
    Batts: 12s1p A123

The CC110 is overkill in my opinion. I bought it for my larger electric but have no time to fix it, so used it in my other trex.
I don't push my heli hard enough to know which is better. The CC is good if you are using alternative power packs like A123 because you can set the cut-off voltage to custom. Other ESC can't because they are connected to the initial voltage which it sensed when you first apply power to the esc.
Losers whine about their best. Winners date the Prom Queen.

Most people talk a lot, only few are up for the moment.

Thank you very much for your sharing... At least now I know that I dun have to change ESC if I intend to go for A123 batts.... I have decided to go for the scorpion motor, as they have sale going on, and pairing it will be a CC85HV.. As for the rest of the electronics, haven make up my mind yet..

Hey HDB, the 3500g servo is a servo used for 450 heli ya? Can it be used on the eraptor?? If can, how do you secure it to the rudder servo slot on the frame??

          Hi guys,

Anybody have any idea whether the JR8900G servo can be run on 6v? Or it gotta run at only 4.8v? Just received my turnigy ubec today after a long and agonising wait, but realised I have no idea how to connect the thing at all.. Theres two output cable, from my limited knowledge, I know one connects to the receiver, but where does the other one connect to? If I want to power my cyclics at 6v, and the tail at a lower voltage, how do I go about doing that?

My electronics for the eraptor are slowly being purchased, by this weekend, all electronics should be in and ready for build, and its gonna be my nightmare as I am sure it will be very different from a 450 heli.. Will greatly appreciate some help, although I do not know what to ask at the moment other than the above question as I just got to read the one page manual..........

            [QUOTE=chasers;365953]Hi guys,

Anybody have any idea whether the JR8900G servo can be run on 6v?(Will damage the servo) Or it gotta run at only 4.8v? Yes Just received my turnigy ubec today after a long and agonising wait, but realised I have no idea how to connect the thing at all.. Theres two output cable, from my limited knowledge, I know one connects to the receiver, but where does the other one connect to?(The 2nd one can can insert into another receiver to power another few more servos or even lighting with 5.1v step down connector cable. If unused, you can fold it up) If I want to power my cyclics at 6v, and the tail at a lower voltage, how do I go about doing that? (Use a 5.1v step down connector cable, either 1st method connect the step down cable in between the Gyro and the receiver or 2nd method connect in between Gyro and rudder servo. **Take note some Gyro accept 5.5v for example Logictech LTG-2100T and Hitec HG-5000 Gyro** in such case use the first method)

My electronics for the eraptor are slowly being purchased, by this weekend, all electronics should be in and ready for build, and its gonna be my nightmare as I am sure it will be very different from a 4

OK... Let me see if I understand you..

              1) the servo cannot be run on 6v as it will damage the servo and can only be run on 4.8v. On the manual, it says if using a step down connector, its actually 5.3v, is this ok or do i have to reduce the voltage further?

              2) When u say the second cable can be connected to another receiver, you mean to say i need to use two receiver?

              3) How do you connect the step down cable in between the gyro and receiver or between gyro and rudder servo? Do i need to purchase another kind of connector? I am trying to visualise how to do it, it will be great if you guys can provide some diagrams to help me out.. as i cant seem to visualise how its being done....
