Helicopter size terminology - this needs to be tabulated nicely

    Hi all,
I'm a beginner and always have trouble with size terminology.
I know the 60, 90, series comes from typical glow engine displacement in 100ths of cubic inches.
But what about when people talk abt "450 size" (Trex450, MiniTitan, BeamE4, Blade400), and "600 size"? Where does this series come from? blade length? disc diameter? weight? doesn't really match... Just arbitrary?
I would like to summarize in a table like this:

    Code:
    [B]Size class | Typ. Disc dia | Typ. RTF Weight | Examples[/B]
    200 | | kg? | ?
    450 | 700mm | 1 kg? | MiniTitan, BeamE4
    600 | ? | kg? | ?
    90 | ? | kg? | ?

The numbers on electric helis denotes the motor used. 450 = 450 equivalent brushed motor. As there are no certain size of common measurement used, they reverted to naming them conventionally as they introduced the electric helis back then when brushed motor was the way to go.

Like the above said: Just Enjoy!

Most people talk a lot, only few are up for the moment.

Thank you for the info, see, that is notable.

Of course I am can enjoy rc heli, regardless of whether I can find the explanations I seek.

Anyway, some answers from my rcgroups thread:
