I was once like you, and i am still like you.
I started with the Raptor 50se, and have since moved to the rex600n, and the Xtreme 50.

      Verdict? The Raptor 50T.
      Nuff said.
It suits your situation the best.

      Thanx!

All three listed are good helis with their individual pros and cons.

Like it or not...student+no money=fly on a limited budget. I was and still am a student with no $$. I started with the raptor and still am flying a raptor, because spares for it are very affordable, especially the OEM parts. A few upgrades are required for the raptor, so compared to a 600N, the price vs performance might not be as good.

BUT, don't worry too much about the kit, its just the potential performance of a heli. Worry about engine, pipe, blades and electronics, because they determine if that potential performance is potential or performance.

i am also in the same situation as you. i suggest the trex600n as i have a friend who flies the raptor and he said that the cyclics are a bit lag compared to the trex600n.
