nd help in setting idle up

    hi to all,

i haf a prob as regard to setting idle up.
when i put to idle up, there seems to be no reaction as
i presume hearing a higher pitch sound to normal (higher rpm).
    i haf a few queries

(1)Will the advance timing setting on the ESC affect?
    (2) will the pole setting affect?
    (3) how do i chk the num of poles of the motor? (physically)

    Im running on Gov mode.
    appreciated any advise given.

    appreciated any advise given.
I've tried my best to answer ur question..

Im not really sure about motor poles, so i cant help u on that..

Regarding ur idle up, what is ur throttle % for ur normal and idle? What headspeed is it at?

im using Gov mode with normal throttle @ 80% and 85% when idle up.
as for my headspeed, its ard 2700-800 rpm. e rpm based on my ESC memory, nt from tach. tks

U said that when u switch to idle up, there seems to be no reaction right? I do not think its a problem.. Because ur normal throttle % is 80% and ur idle up is 85%, 5% increase in throttle is not really that much of a difference.. So naturally u will not notice a change in headspeed..

Share with you my experience because i use govenor mode:

For any motor there is a max RPM.
I will set it to normal mode first and thr curve linear ie 0 to 100%.
Then i set the pitch to 0degree for all 5 points. (for safety reason)
Start up and slowly increase the throttle until the rpm does not increase anymore.
For my heli, it is around 80%. That is to say even i increase the thr to 100%,
the rpm will not increase further and i am just wasting power.
                    Thanks.
