Esky Lama 4 becomes xtreme LamaCX/4.

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share. I know the upgrade price might not make sense. This is my Lama 4 upgraded to Xtreme LamaCX/4. I have use:-
- Xtreme Sport Canopy /w Decal sheet -Mono Tone (for Blade CX2 / Lama v4)
- Xtreme Graphite Tail boom Kit set (for Blade CX2)
- Xtreme Landing Skid Full set (for Blade CX2) (Need to spend 2 min cutting of something)
- Xtreme LED Fly-Bar Full Set - Orange (Lama v3,4)
- Metal Bearing Housing (for Lama 3,4 / BCX2)
- Xtreme Blade for Esky Lama -1 pair (Lower)
- Xtreme Blade for Esky Lama -1 pair (Upper)

I am already on metal and almost on brushless. That is why you see the Spektrum. Sold the Metal, scarp the brushless.

I am heading for a 450.

Now, I am selling every thing to fund the 450.

I'm seriously considering getting a lama to fly around at home ... sold my last one cause it's totally not responsive.
Does the upgrades make it more responsive?

If you noticed, both of us actually did the extended inner shaft mod and also full servo arm lengths. It makes it very sensitive and can handle mild wind conditions but not strong gust, it will still be blown away by strong gusts. Actually if u just wan to fly at home, I personally feel that the stock setting is perfect for it, stable and not too fast.

Chris is right.
Also I found the cheapest way to fly a Lama.

Buy the Stock Lama 4, get the folloing:-
- extended inner shaft
- Xtreme Blade for Esky Lama -1 pair (Lower)
- Xtreme Blade for Esky Lama -1 pair (Upper)

This is all you need. The rest of the upgrade has a bit of effect but not worth the Money unless you get 2nd hand.

The CX2 upgrade is purely for looks and outdoor flying.

Any of you selling your lama? I prefer sensitive response. Ok thanks for your advice guys, the Lama really quite cheap. Saw the V3 about $150 including controller.
What better servo can be used to replace the stock ones?

Towerpro sg90, bolts straight on and compatible with eskys controller

Dig up some old photos... Was around a year plus back. I gone seperate... discarded the 4 in 1. The Lama is still around, but hardly fly it these days. Only hover it at home on rainy days.

How did you configure the Gyro and V-tail mixer? I see 2 ESC in your pics is that correct?
