Yes ... i cant disagree that my other helis have somewhat more practical (in terms of removal after crashing) wiring..

2 things on the vibration, one is a rich engine, the other is a balanced fan. With regard to the fan balance and runout, you need to get it right or vibration will be there forever, ask me how i know..

Some of them in RR also mentioned that no matter how well they've done the run out and fan balancing .. the vibration will always be there with OS91 SZ-H?

Cks - well it's a .90, it'll vibrate like crazy compared to a .50 which you've been accustomed to Dunno with what they're saying about the vibration though, my freya doesn't have any vibes I can see on the heli. Didn't balance the fan. Nor do most of the guys I fly with back home who have the same engines on their .90s as nobody has a balancer that I know of hehe

You're running a bit rich for now due to break-in which is necessary, which should explain the vibes. Man, how I wish nitros were allowed in Bishan so I can see this beauty

I'm running a os 90 sz, smooth as silk. Got a friend to balance the fan perfectly and its great. Unfortunately, the governer magnet has fallen out so its not so perfect anymore.

I have a maryland machine fan that i ordered waiting to be installed. A bit lazy so will eventually get around to it .

Dialed in to less than 0.001 and it will be as smooth as smooth can be, alternatively, you can try the maryland machine fans, they tend to be smooth off the shelf if you (like me) cant get the balance / runout perfect.

As for not balancing the fan, thats not an option with MA Stuff. Had the same problem with my Tempest and it was cured by balancing.

If its stiff accessively rich, then don't worry about it till you lean it out to operating speed.

Do a search on RR for balancing the stratus fan, i believe there is a video floating about. The guy uses cups of ice in place of a fancy balancer, pretty ingenious.

Also, as you are breaking in the engine, check for screws that may be vibrating loose. This is only a problem during break in. After that, you are golden.

Pars: I might just do that too .. you gotten the fan direct from Maryland machine? So i guess the MA fan puller must be in your inventory list too .. since ive read about how challenging it can be just to remove the fan.

i had vibrating loose screw during one of the break-in process .. it was one of the screw which i didnt apply CA on (plastic mount) .. or even threadlock-ed screw would not hold up during break-in?
