go to the MA website and look for the notation on leaking fuel tanks, a problem on the newer model tanks. You will need to bevel the inside of the fuel cap a little to prevent leakage over time.

Also, to put the fuel nozzle in, get a pair of heamostats from a medical supplies place. There are a couple on Balestier road.

                    Regards

Oh, and to tighten the fuel nipple thing, you can use a little flat wrench that you can pick up at a tamiya store. Heamostat is useful also here.

Mine has about 8 gallons through it and is flying great!

                      Regards,

                        Adrianli : my exam's over

                        Parsifal: Thanks for the tips
But how about doing as per instructed? seal it with blue RTV?

Infact, its not really straight forward going through the 'not updated' manual

Some of the resources i found useful are

Yes, thats fine. I just used regular fish tank silicone and its been fine. A little fuel residue is visible on the cap threads but thats not the silicones fault, it apparently is a flaw in the tank design which will need to be fixed with a little sanding of the cap area. Will do it when i switch out the engine.

Am considering getting a new SZ with the cline mod done.

Instructions are Shite. Go to runryder and ask around, the MA section is full of helpful people. Thats what i did.

Oh, and be meticulous about balancing the fan and threadlock. I cleaned every screw with a little thinner before screwing them in.

Also, protect your servo wires with some of that mesh stuff if possible (i got a few meters from Sim Lim Tower, the frames will cut into the servo wires if not protected. (for good measure, i sanded the edges of the frame a little with fine sandpaper). This problem is especially so near the pitch and aileron servos. You will notice this when you screw the servos in, the wires are very close to the edges.

Ummmm... what else... get a switchglo!!! its the best thing ever!

                            Regards,

No there isn't, they typically want you to use the Minature aircraft starter thing, but what most of us do is use the raptor hex starter cup, its a perfect fit for the staft. Grind a little flat into the staft and screw the set screw onto the flat.

Alternatively, you can just buy the MA starter thing, but that means you will be forced to only use your starter.
