Testing Project on 100% Brushless on Dragonfly.

    Hi all

I finally assembled all the components.... Brushless tail motor from CDROM motor. The motor weight itself I feel like lighter than CN12-RXC motor. Due to my tail motor shaft is 3mm, I cannot use EP-3020 without any modification. Currently I use EP-4025 or anything higher than that but cut down size to reduce current drawn and authority POWER!

I still tweaking it. Controlling is abit of over sensitive right now... If I manage to make it work, I will post some pictures in here. If this project fail or abandon, I will also let u all know.

BTW... I also replace my tail boom due to I damage it.

ahhh you beat me to it ..I was able to get another one of the motors from a floppy drive..... 2mm shaft and smaller then the CDrom motor ..I was going to have a play with it soon was not sure about gearin it up or using it DD .,... it is stock with about 20+ turns on it ...if I am right that is high speed and low current.
these motors are about $2 at sim lim basement shop.

    cheers doug

Thanks for the info about the SL Tower. When I got time I will go there to see-see look-look.

My 100% brushless so far running very good. I can use various types of blades without worrying of burning the tail motor brushes (If using CN12-RXC). So far I think EP-4025 with cut down size blades is the best for my combination.

Once I have the wire tidy up, and further testing, I will posts some picture here.

        BTW Tele (Doug)

Can you show us some pictures of your Floppy motor? I would like to see which motor or what type of motor it is.

        Thanks
