Purchases from US

Hi.. I have a fren working in US who is willing to help ship stuff to us for a small nomimal fee... I am still working out if this is a fesible and cheaper option then buying off the shelfs in singapore or having the US store to ship to Singapore. Shipping can be further saved by have afew items shipped to me as a single package.

Just wondering if anyone is interested in such "mass order". -- only open to those who know me in person, and is able to pick up the item at MS.. thanks.

Mike.. I think you understand the risk I am taking since you are helping to arrange mass order... I don't want to be stuck with unpaid and unclaimed items.

He lives near a hooby shop... so he is going there to check out the name of it. We can then check out the website for that shop. There are still lots of minor details that need to be figured out... like how is he going to package everything and send it to SG.. and will will be the overhead cost like etc... so for the time being I just seeing if anyone is keen to participate in such a arrangement.

Guys,

Check out VPOST on Singpost web site. Frank has been using this service for shops who charges high shipping to Singapore.

To use the service, you need to register and recieve a password and an address in California.

Then order your stuff from which ever shop, get them to ship it to the address, send the invoice to VPOST and they will quote you the cost of shipping. Pay for the shipping and wait for your stuff to arrive.

VPOST consolidates all parcels to SGP, and ships out from US on Fridays. The shipping is suppose to be cheaper. Just note that any orders placed in California will have the sales tax added.
