Wah... I nv tried Nitro heli but I can feel its much more powerful & stable Anyway, I voted EP CP

I just cant take it w the fact it runs on gas Maybe if someone make one that runs on hydrogen, i may move on to it. I settle for a compromise of flying a mini electric heli Flight time per week - 2 hrs Kind of wasteful .... of that 2 hrs, one & a half is chit chatting Thats the fun part of this hobby

    Cheers

Well, I like nitro power but for me, I feel that without car for transportation and if living at HDB area, it is difficult to fly nitro helicopter.

That is why I still prefer electric. Cleaner also. It may lack the nitro power but I have to compromise for it.

Bottom line is that, if u have no problem finding place to fly nitro, no problem in transportation, then go for nitro. If not then electric will better solution.

        I vote for electric

          Hi guys,
I started with electric plane 3 years ago, struggled big time because no lithium/BL technology yet, so converted to nitro plane within a month after.
Did not look back as nitro is instant power lah, land the plane, sit down relax, chat chat 10 minutes, fill her up to full again and take-off and fly for 20 over minutes on a full tank on my 25-sized trainer, 5 to 6 flight per outing, then the regular places to fly became lesser and lesser, UMCi no more, that's where my r/c hobby started
I suddenly realised that to continue enjoying this hobby, places to fly is getting lesser and lesser, so i decided to go into nitro heli, naturally, don't need runway mah So nitro heli is definitely for me. Big, Noisy, Stable under strong winds and lastly, POWER to the last drop of nitro!

          Cheers!

              Pros and cons lar...

For me, electric is grab and go, get my thrills and leave the field.

But electric has it hassles too....batts, amp draw, proper motor/esc/pinion selection...micro electrics are also highly subjected to wear and tear.

At the end of the day, nitro rules....fill tank, fly, fill tank, fly, fill tank, fly... recharge RX batt on the field, fill tank, fly, fill tank, fly....

But our airspace is getting more and more pathetic.

                My Wishlist for 2005:

Thunder Tiger comes out with a new super silent and smokeless muffler, then everybody thinks it's a electric heli!

My wish list: Flying a raptor is as low cost as flying a T-Rex.... (rapair cost in particular)

I missed flying a Raptor.. but at this moment... I can't afford both the time and $.

P/S: Nitro Heli got my vote. Somehow.. I find the T-Rex a little toyish........ (just a personal opinion... ) But I still like my T-Rex..
