Advice needed: How to remove bent flybar easily?

Hi all, one of my most frustrating tasks after a crash of my heli is the removal of the bent flybar out from the cage! It always seems impossible to remove the flybar out. After i bend it back and try to make it as straight as possible, somehow it is still very difficult to remove. It will still get stuck at the bend area...

Any good advice or tips on how it can be removed easily?

    Much appreciated! Thanks.

saw off at origin, use suitable sized bolt and hammer against vice to punch out.

just cut at the point where the shaft begins to bend and tap the feathering shaft out slowly

Hmm... cutting it will result in an uneven surface on the flybar... unless your cutting tool is SUPER SHARP cut like a LASER! if not you need to file it off to ensure the cutting edge is even before removing it.

i agree wif you there. Still need to file the end after cutting in order to be able to remove the bar from the cage properly.

Seems that the only solution is really to cut / saw the flybar off at the bend location before removing it.

                          Thanks to all that responded.

                            good thread
i have just crashed my r30
and replacing the bended flybar took me a day....
even using cutting and sawing the end is too uneven to pull the rod out
the best is to change to whole thing
