For timing belt, they calculate the number of teeth, not the length.

      thanks for the info.

I did not make myself clear, apologies.

i intend to drive 2 same gear at constant speed so the tooth number is
      not a problem.

i had tried king2's and cp-belt's belt, both length too short for my project.
30 size is too big for my gear. so have to stay in-between.

trying to get something that is already available in the market.

btw, i just need a rough measurement just like in the photo.

      thanks.

The belt used for TRex are rated as MXL for industrial standard. Different rating has different teeth angle and the size of the angle. U have MXL, XL and etc.

In MXL, the distance between 2 teeth is around 2mm. The normal marking for MXL is like MXL472 which mean 472 number of teeth. Since u know the distance between 2 teeth is 2mm, thus the circumference for MXL472 is (472-1) * 2mm = 942mm.

        To get the length for MXL472, then 942 / 2 = 47.1cm

Thus if u want to use TRex kind of belt, from the length u want, u should able to derive the MXLabcd number. Then using that number, go and ask those belt shop to see whether they have or not.
