    Mini-Titan Damper

    Hey Guys,

Notice the damper-sit of the metal T-hub of the mini-t is slightly bigger den the plastic hub. The damper doesnt seem to sit well in it. There is a slight freeplay causing the feathering spindle to rock(espcially when idel up). Its already my 2nd pair of replacement damper. Any soluition to this or is here any after market damper that have a better fitting?

I'm using metal T-hub too and my dampers are still good as new the last time I took my blades grips apart for servicing. IMO the Mini T dampers are one of the most lasting dampers so far.

        Hi Art,

Agree with you. The dampers are strong, what I mean was the ID of the T-hub seems abit bigger den the OD of the damper itself. Think I gonna try wrap a thin layer of scotch tape ard the damper and try. Every time it come loose my heli tends to Char Kuey Tiao during hover...

Ya.. mine also flies well although there are lot's of free play.. At least it does not go like Char Kuay Tiao

But what I'm trying to find out here if there are some inconsistency. Firstly.. The plastic hub has no free play, and it's tight.. Need to apply some silicon grease to push it in On the metal one.. I can just drop it in and off

mine was the same condition as yourself raven....even with new damper its still slightly smaller. I wrapped it with a thin layer of tape.

                    Vincent,
Yup, dats what I intend to do. We are both using the Red T-hubs. Wonder if those silver ones is the same or is it batch issues.

                    Art2,
Do feedback on yours ok. Btw is yours Silver or Red T-hub?

Sorry to bump up such an old thread as i don't think starting another thread would be of use.. Since this thread still does not have the answer to solving this problem, i shall borrow this thread and ask questions..

My Red Hub also have the same problem.. I can drop the red damper in and it can fall out easily.. Does sticking a layer of tape solve it? Or is there any other dampers in the market that can solve the free play?

Silver ones also has freeplay when damper in. I switched back to plastic hubs, better. If crashed I don't have to worry screw stuck in hub after breaking off Dampers have no freeplay when in plastic hub, in fact it's kinda tight once shaft goes in. But have freeplay may be a good thing ..... you never know. It's supposed to dampen, right?
